"Spy Academy"

Holiday Club

Shirrell Heath Methodist Church

The Club will be running from August 2nd till 6th  from 9.30am - 12.30pm and finishing with a Family Service on Sunday 8th August 10.30am - 1.30pm(ish)

It is for children aged 5 - 13 (children must be 5 by 31st August)

The Holiday Club theme for this year, our 31st, is Spy Academy. The children and young people will learn some skills for life.

Monday we will see that God looks at what is in our heart and not at our looks. He chose David a young shepherd boy to be King of Israel and despite him being the smallest and youngest of his family he went on to be one of the Bibles heroes .

Tuesday, we understand that avoiding our mission, as Jonah did, can have serious consequences. If God asks you to do a job for him he will help you do it, he will give you all the courage you need.

Wednesday is "gadget" day, we will find out that we need to wear God's armour to deal with life. When we stand firm on God's word we put on his armour.
Thursday we discover that it is wrong to be a "double agent". We can't be two people, behaving one way here and another way there. Peter learnt that the hard way.
Friday we discover the gospel message for us today, how Christ came to save us.
Sunday is our final activity for the club when we join in worship and have a buffet lunch after.
